At Lionel Abel-Smith Trust we are keen to help individuals, families and organisations across the Parish of Wendover and the Moor Park estate. We understand the pressures of everyday life and want to ensure that those in need in our community have somewhere they can turn to for help.
Typically help ranges from assisting individuals with specific one-off needs, to projects involving clubs and organisations and even larger requirements spread over several years.
Since 1977 the Trust has awarded over £2 million in grants to individuals, clubs and organisations in our community. These have included many individual awards helping countless people and their families with grants towards educational needs, medical necessities and pursuit of talent, as well as large donations towards the refurbishment of the Memorial Hall, the construction of a retractable roof and changing rooms at the Community Swimming Pool and the refurbishments of St Mary’s Church and St Anne’s Hall.
Applications considered by the Trust can include, but are not limited to, the examples given below.
